IPL 4 2011 (The Indian Premier League) tournament Schedule format is changed due to the introduction of 2 new teams such as Sahara Pune Warriors and Kochi. In the new ten-team format of IPL 4 2011, consists of 74 matches and a playoff format system replaces the previous knockout stage. In the case of match tie in IPL 4, a super Over will play to decide the winner. In this time IPL 2011 tournament Schedule season 4 has divided the ten teams into two groups of five. Each team will play 14 games in group wise. Each team will play two matches against the other four teams in their group and once against four teams in other group and two matches against the remaining team of other group. A chance draw will decide the groups and who plays against whom across the groups one time and two times. After the group stage, a playoff format would play between the four teams who won the group stages in the first 4 places. 2 Points will be awarded the team for a win and 1 point will be in case of no result and zero point for loss the game.

  • Match A, between the teams ranked first and second in the group stage.
  • Match B, between the teams ranked third and fourth in the group stage.
  • Match C, between the loser of Game A and winner of Game B.
  • Final, between the winners of Matches A and C

Total 10 teams are playing in the upcoming IPL 4 season with the new squads of Kochi and Pune. Each team can have a team of maximum 30 players with utmost of US$9 million to bidding the players. Each team can keep four players from the previous season, with at most three Indians.
