Kerala PSC LDC 2011 Syllabus for your planning

PSC has confirmed the syllabus for the Lower Division Clerk examination. Minimum educational qualification for the LDC test is SSLC. Syllabus for the LDC test is:
• General Knowledge
• Knowledge in current affairs
• General English
• Simple Mathematics
• Mental Abilities
• Knowledge in Local Language
Structure of the test will be as follows: General Knowledge and knowledge in Current Affairs will be for 50 marks, General English – 20 marks, Maths and Mental abilities – 20 marks and Local language (Malayalam/Tamil/Kannada) – 10 marks.
In General knowledge, more questions can be expected from Current Affairs, and there will be less questions from History. Questions can be expected from Social Science, Science, Literature, Sports and Indian Constitution. In General English and Mathematics, questions can be expected at the 10th class level. In Local language, there will be simple questions from Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada respectively as per the candidates language preference. Candidates will be given 75 minutes for 100 questions.
