Some Useful Keyboard Shortcuts

Windows Keyboard Shortcuts
• Alt + Enter = Properties: (for a Selected Drive, Folder or File etc).
• Alt + Space = Minimize a Window to the Task Bar.
• Tab = Cycle Through Text Boxes, Drop Down Lists, Check Box Sections, Radio Buttons etc.
• Alt + Tab = Cycle Through all Your Running Programs and Will Maximize the one you Select.
• Alt + F4 = Close a Program or Windows.
• Alt + Underlined Letter (on the menu bar) = Press the Underlined Letter on the Drop Down Menu.
• Ctrl + C = Copy Selected Text to the Clipboard.
• Ctrl + P = Print (From Within a Program).
• Ctrl + S = Save (From Within a Program).
• Ctrl + V = Paste Text from the Clipboard to a Program.
• Ctrl + X = Cut Selected Text to The Clipboard.
• Ctrl + Z = Undo.
• Ctrl + Esc = Start Button.
• Ctrl + Tab = Move Through the Tabs on a Dialog box.
• Enter = Activates the Default Button (Usually the OK Button).
• Esc = Activates the Cancel Button and Makes the Dialog box Disappear.
• Arrow Keys = Use Them to Make Selections in a List Box.
Using The Function Keys
• F1 = Help.
• F2 = Renames a Selected Folder, Document or Shortcut.
• F3 = Find a File (From the Desktop, From Inside Windows Explorer and Folder Windows).
• F5 = Refresh (in Windows Explorer).
• Shift + F10 = Right Click (Brings up a Handy Shortcut Menu With Some Options).
Using The Windows Logo Key
• Windows + Tab = Cycle Through Buttons on the Taskbar.
• Windows + F = Displays Search for Files or Folders.
• CTRL + Windows + F = Displays Search for Computers.
• Windows + F1 = Display Help and Support.
• Windows + R = Display the Run Dialog box.
• Windows = Display the Start Menu.
• Windows + Break = Displays the System Properties Dialog box.
• Windows + E = Opens My Computer.
• Windows + D = Minimize or Restore all Windows.
• Shift + Windows + M = Undo Minimize all Windows.
To Click Using MouseKeys
Note: Make sure you have MouseKeys turned on, which enables you to use the numeric keypad to move the mouse pointer and to click, double click and drag.
• Press 5 on the Numeric Keypad = Click.
• Press PLUS SIGN (+) on the Numeric Keypad = Double Click.
• Press MINUS SIGN (–) on the Numeric Keypad = Right Click.
• Press ASTERISK (*) on the Numeric Keypad = Click Both Mouse Buttons at Once.
• Press SLASH (/) on the Numeric Keypad = Switch Back to Standard Clicking.
