Nephropathy
Overview of nephropathy
Nephropathy is a disease formed due to the dysfunction of kidney glomeruli function. Diabetes is considered as the villain of this kidney trouble. Controlling diabetes is the best solution for this disease. Now we will see the testing method adopted for nephropathy. Urine test and kidney biopsy are two major tests done for knowing kidney trouble. In kidney biopsy, cells from kidney are taken for test. Urine test conducted in patients, determines this kidney trouble by detecting albumin concentration in urine.
Albumin is a plasma protein usually formed due to thickening of glomeruli. There are two major conditions occurring as a result of nephropathy. One is microabluminuria and the other one is macroalbuminuria. Microalbuminuria is a condition of albumin concentration less than 30mg in urine. Macroalbuminuria arises when albumin concentration is greater than 300mg in patient's urine. Swelling of body parts and itching are some of the symptoms shown by patients.
If not considered, disease may even lead to chronic kidney failure and end- stage kidney state. It rises the situation for dialysis and can even lead to death of patient. Try to avoid fast foods and foods with rich iodine concentration which creates a negative impact on patients. Maintaining a healthier lifestyle with proper medications is the best solution suggested by physicians.
