Vivek Express

In memory 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda which will be Celebrated in 2013, Railways has introduced new trains called "Vivek Express". The four trains will be in the routs following

  1. Dibrugarh- Thiruvanthapuram-Kanniyakumari Express (weekly) via Kokrajhar
  2. Dwarka-Tuticorin Express (weekly) via Wadi
  3. iHowrah-Mangalore Express (Weekly) via Palghat
  4. Bandra (T)- Jammu Tawi Express (Weekly) via Marwar-Degana- Ratangarh-Jakhal- Ludhiana


Double Decker AC

Double decker Ac trains are new inclusion to Indian railways, Railway budget 2011 proposed 2 such AC double-decker services in the following routs
  1. Jaipur- Delhi
  2. Ahmedabad-Mumbai


Shatabdi Express

New Shatabdi Express will be introduce by 2012 as proposed in the Railway Budget 2011

  1. Pune -Secunderabad
  2. Jaipur-Agra
  3. Ludhiana – Delhi

Kavi Guru Express
We are celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Kavi Guru Rabindranath Tagore this year. As our homage to the great poet, Kavi Guru Express is introducing by the year 2011, Kavi Guru Express will be introduced in the following routs
  1. Howrah-Azimganj Express (daily) via Sagardighi
  2. Guwahati- Jaipur Express (weekly) via Kasganj – Faizabad – Gorakhpur Kokrajhar
  3. Howrah-Bolpur Express (daily)
  4. Howrah-Porbander Express (weekly)


Rajya Rani Express

Rajya Rani Express will be connecting the State capitals with the important towns and cities of the states

  1. Sawantwadi Road - Mumbai Express (daily)
  2. Saharsa - Patna Intercity Express (daily)
  3. Meerut- Lucknow Intercity Express (daily)
  4. Mysore - Bangalore Express (daily)
  5. Damoh - Bhopal Intercity Express (daily)
  6. Silghat – Dhubri Intercity Express (tri-weekly via Guwahati – Kokrajhar -Jogighopa)
  7. Bankura – Howrah Express (tri-weekly)
  8. Nilambur Road – Thiruvananthapuram Link Express (daily)
  9. Jharsuguda – Bhubaneswar Express (tri-weekly)
  10. Manmad – Mumbai Express (daily) via Nasik

  2. Bangalore-Mysore-Hassan (Space Facility, Belur, Halebid,Shravanbengola)- Hubli-Gadag (Hampi) - Bijapur (Gole Gumbaz) -Bangalore
  3. Chennai-Puduchcheri-Tiruchichirappali-Madurai-Kanniyakumari-Thiruvanthpuram-Ernakulam -Chennai
  4. MumbaiAhmedabad-(Lothal)-Bhavnagar(Palitana)-(Alang)-Gir-Diu(Somnath-Veraval)-(Junagarh)-Rajkot-Mumbai
