India will play their second match in the ICC Cricket World cup at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on 27th February against England. The match will start at 14 30 hours Indian standard Time and will be telecasted live in Star Cricket (English) and Star Sports (Hindi) . Earlier, this match watch fixed to play at Eden Gardens in Calcutta. But the Eden Garden Stadium Authority failed to finish the maintenance work in time and ICC demanded BCCI to shift the venue. Later BCCI shifted the venue to Bangalore. But English team happy about this shift of Venue. For English team the pitch condition in Bangalore will be slightly less hostile than could have been the case in Kolkata. India and England have met three times in Bangalore and it's the visitors who actually lead the head-to-head 2-1, although the wins did come back in 1985 and 1993. England is more worried about the Indian spinners.

England is not yet back on track. After their series loss against Australia, they hope perform well in world cup. Their opening match victory against Netherlands was not that much appreciable. For them, Indian grounds very unlucky. They have won only one game in India against India in their last 13 ODI matches. India had clinched a 5-1 series win 2006. In 2008 series, England failed to win even a single match out the five matches. But the English players have full confident on their ability. Out of the last 5 ODI matches played, they have won only 2 matches. Except Broad, all other players are fit for the match. Broad has been suffering from an upset stomach but is expected to be fit and England's main decision is whether to strength their spin-bowling with a recall for Michael Yardy. They are trying to strengthen up their Spin Bowling line up. But the problem is that they have to replace Ravi Bopara who had played a astonishing innings against Netherlands.

Indian team is with full confident after their opening victory against Bangladesh at Mirpur. India had won 12 out of the last 13 matches that they had played with England in India. Virendra Sehwag had a rib injury during the practice session, but the officials informed thet he is fit to play in the match. Nehra is not yet fit to play. So India has not yet decided whether to include Sreesanth or to include an extra spinner. Sreesnath's performance against Bangladesh was very poor. He consumed 53 runs from just 5 overs without taking any wickets. Sometimes India will play with Piyush chawla who had showed a astonishing bowling against Australia in the Practice session. Sachin had failed to make a good score in the opening match. So all fans are waiting for some miracles from him against England. Dhoni had also showed some fantastic batting performance in the warm up match against NewZeland. Except Yuvraj, all other players are back on track. India will depend mainly on spinners, who will decide the result of the match.

Pitch Report
