Every year, International women's day is celebrated on 8th March. This 2011 marks the hundredth year of women's day celebration across the world. International women's day was first celebrated in 19 March 1911 in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. Every year, there used to be a theme for celebrating the great day.
The theme for women's day 2011 is "Equal access to education, training and science and technology: Pathway to decent work for women". The themes are selected by United Nations. The themes for the last few women's day celebration are given below;
