Quarter Finals Fixture
The ICC world cup 2011 was started on 19th February with the match between India and Bagladesh at Mirpur. Now the group matches are finished. Out of the 14 teams, 8 teams are qualified for the quarter finals, 4 from each group. The quarter finals of the ICC World cup 2011 will start from 23rd March 2011 on wards. Pakistan and South Africa finished top on the table of group A and B respectively.
Pakistan managed to finish on the table by defeating the 4 time world champions Australia in group A. Pakistan topped the table with 5 victories and 1 defeat and secured 10 points. Srilanka finished second with 9 points on the table. After the defeat against Pakistan, Australia finished third followed by NewZeland at fourth position South Africa finished top on the table in group B with ten points in their pocket. India finished second after a marvelous victory against West Indies. England finished third followed by West Indies.
In quarter finals, Pakistan will play the first match against the fourth position West Indies in group B on 23rd march at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium, Mirpur. India will met Australia in the 2nd Quarter finals. This match will be played at Sardar Patel Stadium, Ahmedhabad on 24th March. South Africa will play against Newzeland in the 3rd quarter finals which will be played at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium, Mirpur. The last quarter finals will be played between the number 2 Srilanka in group A and number 3 England in group B at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on 26th March.Fixture
