Kumar Sangakkara captain and wicket keeper of Sri Lanka's ODI and T20 teams Cricket team steps down from captaincy after the loss in ICC World cup cricket final To India. He said in press report that he was disappointed over Sri Lankans loss to Indi ain the finals of ICC world Cup 2011, he added that the Lankans were well placed in this world cup, he thanked his team members for the support that the have extended to them.
He also explained his retirement plans, he was not sure of his place in 2015 ICC world cup which is to held in Australia, he wanted the team to be well groomed for the upcoming world cup, he will continue to play for the national side and he will captain Deccan Chargers in the coming season of Indian premier League
