Kerala people are always familiar with the name Balamani Amma, who is a famous Malayalam poetess. She was born in the year 19 July 1909. In general we can say that Balamani Amma is the grandmother of Malayalam Literature. It should be noted that Balamani Amma is the mother of Kamala Das. We all know that Kamala das is a famous writer.
