When I hear the name of Kunjunni Master, I remember the day on which he visited my home. It was on the birth anniversary day of the great poet Changampuzha Krishna Pillai (11th of October), which year I don't remember. Kunjunni Master came to attend a Kavi Sammelanam (poets' meet). After the meeting and lunch he wanted to take rest. I brought him to mt house which is close by. He met my wife and children and had just a small talk. Then I took him to the bed room and he took rest. After about half an hour he came out and chatted with us. He placed both his hands on the head of my son and blessed him.I was very happy to see that since an old man, especially a teacher and a poet is blessing my son. After that he bid farewell to us and slowly walked out of the house. After that I could not meet him, and I read about his death from news papers.
Even now I carry the image of his blessing son in my mind.
