Panniyampilly Krishna Warrior is a jewel among the all time Kerala ayurveda physicians. His role in bringing ayurveda to the front face of Kerala was immense. Be brought significant innovations and employed his own methods to show the correct path ayurveda should lead in Kerala. Pathmashree Dr P K Warrier being the managing trustee and chief physician of kottakal ayurveda sala successfully completed several projects to bring the ayurvedic medicines in a patient friendly form. Along with other prominent physicians like P S Varier, Dr PK Warrier efforts and hardwork carved the backbone of once struggled ayurveda in Kerala. We often see in history the role of a single person or a versatile leader behind every influential organizations and success of a society. Here it was Dr PK Warrier who served as the divine light for the ayurveda physicians in kerala. Dr PK Warrier was born in a middle class family of Kottakkal, Malappuram district of our kerala. Being born on born 5 June 1921 Panniyampilly Krishna Warrior today celebrates his ninetieth birthday. He was born to Kodidalappana Sreedaran Namboothiri and Paniampalli Kunjivarasyar. His mother Paniampalli Kunjivarasyar was the daughter of Vaidyaratnam PS Varier's(Kottakal arya vadya sala founder) aunt. His elder brother Mr. Madhava Warrier also worked as the spearhead of arya vaidya sala before him. Dr PK Warrier had his high school at the Kottakal Rajas High School in Kottakal, Malappuram. He then completed medical studies from the Vaidyan ratnem P S Variar Ayurveda college (then it was called ' arya vaidya padasala'). In 1942 he got attracted to the Indian Freedom struggle and became a part of it. From 1953 Dr PK Warrier is the managing trustee of Kottakal Arya vaidya sala. As already mentioned he gave everything for the betterment of ayurveda in Kerala. Today the role of Ayurveda in giving Kerala a global recognition is tremendous. According to Dr PK Warrier ayurveda is not just a method treatment. Apart from that it has life, the lights of life, enlightenment and teachings. But he doubt whether modern ayurvedic practices strictly follow the terms of real powerful ayurveda. He believes to an extent that modern ayurveda have a lot affected by its present marketing methods. But Dr PK Warrier was a prophet of ayurveda in walks of his life. This itself give the strength of experience and belief to his treatment practices.
Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala is not only the largest and most trusted ayurvedic institutions in kerala but also in India. Today kottakal in malappuram becomes popular worldwide attracting tourists from india and abroad is also because of this unique institution. From 1954 it is Dr PK Warrier who directed and lead the activities of institution at kottakkal. Having branches at major cities of India, arya vaidy sala have visitors from European countries and middle east. Dr. P. K. Warrier believes and became successful in making Arya Vaidya Sala to stand for the preservation and promotion of ayurveda. 
Achievemnet of vaida sala in this regard is evident when one sees the quality of ayurvedic medicines, ayurvedic treatment here. Under him Vaidyasala have also given equal importance to ayurvedic education and research at the centre.
But it was the modernization of ayurvedic principles without changing its values done by Dr P K Warriar made the difference. Just in the modern times of tablets and syrups how could have the ayurveda sustained in its old crude form? The infrastructure facilities at Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala today also reflect this. He also believe in the strong need to carry out active researches in the ayurvedic to bring out all the good ayurveda can bring to human race. Being the chief physiscian of kottakal arya vaidyasala he stood with dedication for the health problems of his co-beings. This doctor sees no point in making the patients wait for a doctor . He also belives firmly that paient needs lot of care and love along with the medicines. He also took special care to make the modern developments of medicinal field reach the common. Many of financially backward patients also have special consideration and facilities under his authority in kottakal arya vaidya sala.
