Zarina Wahab is an Indian filmstar and also a yesteryear model who was very much renowned in the 1970's for her roles in films like Chit Chor and Gopal Krishna. She has acted in many films in both Bollywood industry as well as the Malayalam film industry. She has also acted in Tamil and Telugu film industries. Zarina has received training in acting at Film and Television Institute of India, Pune and dancing from Hyderabad. During her school days itself, she proved herself as a very good actress in the skits and plays. She got film offers as soon as she came to Bombay to start her filming career. Zarina's debut film was Ishq Ishq Ishq alongside actor Dev Anand. Her second film was Chit Chor alongside actor Amol Palekar which was produced by Rajshri Productions and turned out to be a blockbuster hit in the yesteryears. Chit Chor also received many awards for the excellent performances rendered by the cast and technicians. She has worked in more than 50 films from 1974 until the present age. Currently, Zarina Wahab mainly plays roles in television serials where she is usually seen as the mother of the protagonist. Zarina Wahab was born on July 17th 1959 to a Muslim family in her native place Vishakapatnam in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. She has four siblings altogether, three sisters and one brother. Zarina Wahab got married to actor Aditya Panscholi when they both were working together on a film titled Kalang Ka Tikka. The couple had a love marriage and got married very soon after they met each other. Aditya Panscholi is four years younger than Zarina Wahad in age. Their marriage fell prey to many rumours that were built up by the media who said that their marriage would not be successful owing to the temper tantrums and unfaithfulness from the part of Aditya Panscholi. Inspite of being married, Aditya had a few extra-martial affairs with Bollywood actresses like Kangana Ranaut and Pooja Bedi. He even made most of his affairs public by admitting them to the media but each time the relationship ended badly and he always went by to his wife Zarina Wahab, who accepted him whole heartedly every time. Zarina Wahab had to face few obstacles in the beginning of her acting career due to her unsatisfactory looks. She did not have the glamour and beauty that is needed to appear in Hindi films. This problem was first noticed by film maker Raj Kapoor. Zarina took it as a challenge and made herself more beautiful so that she would be given film offers. She also attended all the events and film parties in order to gain more contacts. She won this battle ultimately and started to receive a good number of film assignments. Even after the vast change made in her appearance, she was never given the role of a glamorous heroine. Instead, she always appeared in roles which demanded natural and sober beauty.
