Priyadarshan, the talented person was born in Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala state. From the young age itself Priyadarshan was interested in reading. He got the opportunity to read so many books as his father was a librarian. He completed his educations at institutions like Government model high school & the University College located in Trivandrum. During his college days, he wrote several skits & short plays. Mohanlal, M.G. Sreekumar, Maniyanpillai Raju, Jagadish, Suresh Kumar were his close friends during his college life. His debut film in Malayalam language named 'Poochakkoru Mookkuthi' was a super hit film during the 1980's.
