What is Aadhaar?
Aadhaar is 12 digit unique identification number(UID).Which is issued by Unique Identification Authority of India(UIDAI) for all Indian residents. It can takes for all peoples even infants. The main aim of Aadhaar is follows,includes more local peoples in development process and to reach Government services easily to citizens. The Aadhaar number is stored as centralized database. There by it is linked to the basic demographics and biometric information like-photograph,ten finger prints and iris of each individuals. So each individual will get only a single unique number.This number can verify through online and offline modes. So this avoid the possibility of fake identification in Government and public sides.More than fifty countries already implemented this idea.
Biometric system used in Aadhaar are iris scanning and finger prints.Basically biometric system are two types. Physiological and behavioral.Physiological based on finger,face, palm prints ,iris recognition,DNA.behavioral based on voice to typing rhythm. In Aadhaar enrolment process face, iris recognition,finger prints are used for unique identification ,because finger print not sufficient clear in children and some labours. How will get Aadhaar
First collect application form near Akshaya-e centers and take token number for appointment for all family members even infants.fill form with carefully and submit it with following documents like,photograph,proof of address,proof of date of birth.All family members must go enrolment camp according to token number.They must carry original documents like address proof,identity proof,,proof of relationship(for children below 5 years old),proof of date of birth along with photocopies.then en-roller enters data with presence of resident. Then photograph of resident captured,and will move to iris scanning,then take finger prints of all finger,After taking finger print signing, they will give a printed acknowledgement.Then resident will get AADHAAR number with in three months by speed post. It enables identification for every resident. easily verify online.can avoid fake identity.it is voluntary.Provides universal identity infra structure like passport.Giving migrant mobility identity.In future Aadhaar stand as substitute for pan card ,ration card,passport,bank account,driving license.So Aadhaar will sufficient for health insurance,L.I.C, census,and distribution of subsidy.
