Dr Love is the latest entry in the theatres which was released on Thiruvonam Day, 8th September 2011. From the announcement of the name of the movie, high expectations were there before the movie lovers around the globe. K. Biju, the director of the movie had really worked for the movie still the movie got released in theatres. This is biju's debut directorial venture and an independent director.
The cast of the movie other than the main actors were selected through an audition. All the supporting cast of the movie had played their role perfectly which really add colours to the success of the movie. The major shooting location of the movie was in the beautiful campus of St. Berchman's College, Chenganassey which is much idol for a campus movie. 
Being the most popular online media magazine in kerala, SpiderKerala had a rare opportunity to catch the initial shooting progress of the movie few months back. 'SpiderKerala Team' took a day to engage with the crew of Dr.Love in the location. As the shooting got progressed we were much sure about the hard work done by the whole unit which really paid in the end. As from our experience, it was so sure that this movie with a fresh flavor would do wonders in the theatres. Unlike the shooting location of other movies we felt that this movie do have some thing to share as the story would really entertain the audience. The most brilliant work before the release of the movie would be the unique way of promotion which was supported by most of the movie related websites and magazines. The movie Dr.Love tries to say the story of Vinayan Chandran (KB/Kunchako Boban) as a romance consultant who makes his way to a campus. His arrival to the campus is to help the PT Master(Innoncent) and a college professor(Bindu Panikar) to build there love relationship. Vinaya Chandran becomes the shining star of the college as he got much involved in the daily acts of the college building a healthy relationship with the students of the campus. Virtually Vinayachandran got a nick name 'Dr.Love – The Romantic Consultant'. Nothing in the college went passed without the awareness of Vinayachandran. He had to solve various issues in the colleges with boldness. The movie makes more interesting as Vinaya Chandran reveals his objective of becoming the romance consultant.
Dr Love Movie Review – Real Feast For Onam
We might have seen some of the excellent campus movies like Niram, Nammal which were got high acclaims in the threates. Adding to this chart comes another campus movie brilliantly weaved with some excellent work done by the whole crew. Even being the first directorial venture of the K. Biju, the movie feels to be done by a director who had been in this field for decades. Full credit of the success of this movie really goes to the director for giving a colourful movie for malayalis. Accessing the movie, it would be 2.5 hour full length entertainer which will really add worth to the money spend.
Performance Review
Focusing on the individual performance, Kunchako Boban totally steals the show. Being an actor giving back to back hit movies, Chackochan would soon become the most active actor with a handful of movies. The actor was ideal for the role which gives no compromise. This would be an even better performance while looking back to the earlier movies of Chackochan.
Bhavana could not make the role much better than her performance in Dr.Love. Her much dominating character in the movie would be one her best movie ever done. The costumes much suit her in the movie which adds more colours to her character.
Manikuttan promises to be much more ideal for being a supportive actor in movies. We might not have seen Manikuttan in a much better get ups in attractive shots. After excelled in Chotta Mumbai, this performance of Manikuttan will add fuel to this film career. Well set dialogues adding humour to it get much appreciation in the theatre. Breath taking dance steps to is much commendable.
As an overall review of the cast Young blood like Ananya, Hemant, Aju(Kuttu), Prakashan,Bhagat,Ranjith,Vidya Unni,Nimisha had done their part perfectly. There are few more actors who support the movie. Technical Performance Review
Hats of the Director K.Biju who will be an asset to the Malayalam movie Industry. What biju had in his minds was brilliantly picturised in excellent locations. The real back bone of the movie was the beautifully weaved script done by biju himself which had to be given appreciation. The camera works of the movie was much far better comparing to movies released in the past. The back ground music really suits each frame. The songs of the movie had been in the top list of the chartbusters ever since it was released. Young music director Vinu Thomas might have given all his hard work to give perfection to each part of the music. This would be Vinu's 3rd Malayalam movie with previous movies like 'By the people' and 'Not Out'. The songs had been interwoven excellently so as to give a good feel in the theatres. It's so sure that the whole of kerala would take the songs in the movie on their shoulders in the coming days.
