Kerala Public Service Commission has invited application of qualified candidates for selection as Range Forest Officer to fill the vacancies earmarked to the Direct Recruitment from among candidates who possess a Degree in Science or Engineering. The selected candidates shall be required to undergo 18 months Forest Rangers Course during 2011-2012 in any one of the State Forest Service Colleges under the Directorate of Forest Education, Government of India, Dehradun and one year practical training in the department. The selection will subject to the decisions of the Director, Forest Education, Ministry of Environment and Forests Government of India in regard to the conduct of the Course.Details of the job

The selection is based on the written examination that will be conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission. The exam includes general knowledge section for 100 marks, English essays for 100 marks and 2 science subjects (Bachelors degree standard). candidates who come out successful in the physical efficiency test and written
10. examination must pass walking test covering a distance of 25 (twenty five) kilometers within four hours on foot and women candidates must cover 16 (sixteen) kms on foot within 4 hours. The candidates who passes all the above test will be called for interview by the commission.
