Parvathy Omanakuttan had become a house hold name after she rose up to the stardom being crowned Miss India in 2008. The popularity of Parvathy mounted up while she became the first runner-up in the 2008 Miss World Contest.

Parvathy Omanakuttan was born on July 13, 1987 in Kottayam, Kerala. The family had to shift their residence to Mumbai while Omanakkuttan Nair, father of Parvathy had to work with the Taj Hotel. She had her schooling at SCDB High School and completed her graduation in English Literature from Mumabai Mithibai College. During her college days it self Parvathy had got several opportunities to walk through the ramp which eventually stimulated her to go far beyond.
Following the path of a handful of keralites who had brought glory to the State being a part of beauty pagents, Parvathy too had found her own to reach the zenith with her hard work and dedication.

The golden days of Parvathy began when she won few titles in beauty pageants which include 'Miss Malayali 2005' and 'Malayli Manka 2005'. Adding more feather to the cap, Parvathy was declared as the 'Navy Queen 2006(Cochin)', 'Lions Club Dream Girl 2007', 'Navy Queen 2007(Vizag)' and Femina Miss India South 2008. These titles had brought much confidence in Parvathy while she was crowned Femina Miss India in 2008. Months later Parvarthy represented India in the 2008 Miss World beauty contest. Just missing the title Parvathy became the first runner up which had brought glory to the whole nation.

Being the first runner up in 2008 Miss World Beauty Pageant Parvathy was too busy with assignments for few International advisements. All the eyes we on to see Parvathy's entry into the Bollwood film industry. United Six was her debut movie which was directed by Vishal Aryan Singh. In 2011 Parvathy signed for a project titled as Uma Maheshwaram. But the most attractive offer was the casting of Parvathy was in tamil movie Billa 2 which is a sequel of Super Star Ajith's former movie Billa. Billa 2 would be a big budget movie which would surly give a break for Parvathy to stick up her career in acting.
