At last the much awaited Hairomax Miss Kerala 2011 title has been awarded to the beauty queen Elizabath Thadikaran. The final session of the Hairomax Miss Kerala 2011 was conducted in Le Meridian convention centre at Kochi. Beautiful Elizabeth Thadikaran won the heart of the judges while Shruthi Nair was named as the first runner up and Maria John crowned the second runner up at the glittering ceremony. The judges decided the winners based on Dress-wear, Confidence and Communication of the contestants, personality, talent and answer to the judges' question. The winners were decided by the elite panel of judges comprising of Poornima Indrajith, international makeup artist Shaan Muthathil, 2010 Miss India International Neha Hinge, 2010 Gladrags Mega Model Archana Trivedi, Bollywood director Roshan Abbas, director Siddique and fashion designer Asmita Marve. The support provided by the spectators energized the contestants to come up with their best effort. The winners were decided from a team of 20 contestants who were shortlisted after the auditions conducted in major cities and in Dubai for the beauty queens for Kerala origin. Apart from the Miss Kerala title, the winner devote herself in working for 'Save the Girl Child' programme. Miss Kerala pageant was first started in the year 1999. This foundation has helped the to discover, nurture and display beauty and talent among young women of Kerala. The event is open to young women with Kerala origin. The selection is done after the auditions conducted in major cities of India.The main moto of the foundation is to harness talent and train the youth of Kerala, to give the worked at large a beautiful, talented and confident winner. Every year the event is conducted with great enthusiasm and energy. In recent times, the Miss Kerala Foundation has focused its services on childcare. It also provide financial assistance to few institutes that are working for the development of the children. The 11 years of success has encouraged the pageant producers to take up a leap forward by joining hands with 'SAVE THE GIRL CHILD' mission again. The association with 'Save the Girl Child' mission is in harmony with year's pageant theme- Beauty with a purpose. The winner would devote herself in working for 'Save the Girl Child' programme. Miss Kerala 2011 was held at Le Meridian convention centre in kochi on 8th October 20111. A total of 20 contestants performed in the grand finale to crown the Hairomax Miss Kerala 2011 title. A total of around 400 entries are registered for the event. Out of these, 20 contestants were shortlisted by the committee to perform in the final. The shortlisting was carried out after the audition rounds held in Kochi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Dubai. The function saw a well-heeled vibrant crowd turn up to cheer and encourage the contestants as they walked the glittering ramp. The contest was held in three rounds including Indian wear, party wear and gown. Ten contestants were selected for the second round from the first introductory round. There were five contestants in the final round in which they were supposed to write an answer to the same question in one minute duration. A brilliant judging panel was made available to select the beauty queen. The panel comprised of fashion expert celebrities like Poornima Indrajith, international makeup artist Shaan Muthathil, 2010 Miss India International Neha Hinge, 2010 Gladrags Mega Model Archana Trivedi, Bollywood director Roshan Abbas, director Siddique and fashion designer Asmita Marve.
