Abad Nucleus Mall is one of the finest shopping malls in Kochi, the financial capital of Kerala. It's located at Maradu, an emerging satellite town in Kochi. Formally opened on 12 November 2010, the mall is promoted by the reputed Abad Group. With the presence of recognised international and national brands of different sectors, it provides an absolute shopping experience to the visitors. The mall is spread over 230,000 sq ft,out of which about 125,000 sq ft across 6 floors is dedicated to retail and 45,000 sq ft area is donated to offices, spread over 4 floors. It operates 6 escalators and 4 elevators. The parking lot can house about 700 cars and has two car lifts. It has facilities for the differently abled people.The mall, however, doesn't have a multiplex, a drawback. Another distinction the mall holds is that it is the first gold rated green mall of India. Certification was done by LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). The mall follows many green aspects like rainwater harvesting, reduced energy consumption, energy efficient air conditioning, recycling, efficient LED and CFL lighting systems.
