The Abad Nucleus Mall is on the Maradu junction of the National Highway and the bypass in Satellite town. It is about 1 and ½ k m from Kundannoor. This is the first green mall certified by LEED as the 'gold'. The mall has adopted the energy saving 'green aspect' compliant devices like the LED and CFL lighting system, collection of recyclable materials, energy efficient air conditioning etc. The mall is having an area of 2,30,000 S ft spread over 10 floors. In fact the establishment of the Nucleus Mall has made Maradu into posh locality. Of the 2.3 lakhs S ft of space 1.25 lakhs S ft is allotted to the retails outlets spread up to the first 4 floors.
