Boat race, traditionally known as Aranmula Vallamkali is a boat race festival where snake boats are following the sacred boat. Here you can find boats from 39 regions known as Karas. It starts from Chennithala in west to Ranni in east region. Snake boats participating in boat race festival is equipped with hundred rowers, twenty five singers and four helmsmen.
