Hairomax Miss South India 2011 - Kochi gears for the grand finale

The Hairomax Miss South India, the largest talent hunt for brain and beauty in South India, will take place on November 5th. Organized by one of the reputed event management firms in India, Pegasus, the event is entering its 9th year. The Hairomax Miss South India 2011 will be held at Gokulam Park Inn, Kochi. 16 contestants will battle for the prestigious title. They are Elizabeth Thadikaran, Athira Ajith, Aswini Mathew, Thinkal Bhale, Yamini Chander, Kruthika Ravi, Neha, Abhinaya, Ashna Misra, Kanupriya,Palak Desai, Varsha Reddy, Laxmi Anand, Neha Ramesh, Reema Sequeira and Ranjitha DP. These beauties were selected in the audition held at Bangalore, Hyderbad and Chennai in September and at Kochi in October. Four girls represent each state. An interesting feature of the event is that actress Abhinaya, the 'Nadodigal' fame, is also participating with the others. The organisers tell that this is very much inspiring for others. Abhinaya's participation will encourage the other differently abled people to come to the mainstream.

The grooming section for the contestants started on 1st November at PJ Princess, Vypeen, Cochin. Filled with Yoga, Meditation, Personality development, Catwalk, Beauty tips, Photo shoot, Interaction, Talent search and more, the grooming will help the contestants to empower their strengths and tackle their weaknesses. The grooming section is led by an expert panel of fashion choreographers and trainers including Mr. Arun Ratna of Fashion Runway, Mr. Sameer Khan of Elite Model Flattt, Ms. Valentina Mishra of Valen's Model Management, Mr. Jaison Paulson of Jaison Fitness First and Jebitha Ajit, MD of Pegasus. The section will be incorporated with the traditions and culture of South India.

The contest would be judged by a panel comprising Miss World 1st runner up Ms. Parvathy Omanakuttan, South Indian Actor Mr. Sreekanth, renowned model and actress Ms. Richa Pannai, Miss Queen of India and model Ms. Pooja Bhamrah, Famous fashion designer Mr. Sajimon Parayil and Media Personality Mrs. Toshma Biju. They will decide the winner of a Lakh rupee and the Miss South India title.The winners will get a gold plated crown designed by Mr. & Mrs. Prakashan Parakkat. The first runner up will get Rs. 50,000 worth home appliances and second runner up will get Rs. 25,000 worth home appliances sponsored by Gopu Nandilath GMart. They winners will also have additional gifts sponsored by various firms.

In addition to the main title, there are other subtitles Miss Beautiful Hair, Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Beautiful Skin, Miss Beautiful Face, Miss Beautiful Eyes,Miss Congeniality, Miss Cat Walk, Miss Perfect 10, Miss Talented, Miss Viewer's choice and Miss Photogenic. A panel headed by Dr. Thomas Nechumpadam will judge the subtitles. The contest has got four rounds namely the Designer saree round, Casuals, Black & Black and Linen wear designed by fashion designer Mr. Sajimon Parayil who is also the judge.

The three and half an hour long event will have culural and entertainment programmes at its peak. The stage for the event has been designed by Mr. Jossy George, the creative Head of Creattio and by developed by the team headed by Mr. Diliip of Akshay inc. The hand made Ribbon for the contestants, sub titles and title winners are designed by Mrs. Christeena Jomy, the MD of X'tina's design.
