Nilambur - Trivandrum Rajya Rani Express Train Time Table and Ticket Fare
The much awaited Nilambur – Thiruvananthapuram Rajya Rani Express will start the service from today (16/11/2011) onwards. Train number 16350 and train number 16349 will do service from Nilambur to Thiruvananthapuram and Thiruvananthapuram to Nilambur respectively. Nialmbur - Thiruvananthapuram Rajya Rani Express
Finally the dream train for Malappuram district has come into reality as a result of the effort put forward by the Malayala Manorama daily and parliamentary members of Malappuram. Rajya Rani Express, connecting Nilambur in Malappuram district and the capital city of State, Thiruvananthapuram will start its service from today onwards. Train number 16350 and train number 16349 will do service from Nilambur to Thiruvananthapuram and Thiruvananthapuram to Nilambur respectively. The train will start from Nilambur at 08.20 PM and reach Shornur at 10.00 PM. Then it will get connected with the Palakad – Thiruvannathapuram Amrita Express and continue the service and will reach Trivandrum at early morning 6:20. The return service from Trivandrum to Nilambur starts at 10:30 PM and will reach Nilambur at 7:25 AM.
Rajya Rani Express contains seven bogies including one 3 tier Ac compartment, two sleeper compartments and two general compartments. The train will stop at Vaniyambalam, Melattur, Pattikad, Angadipuram and Cherukara between Nilambur and Shornur. From there, the train will stop as per the normal schedule of Amrita Express. So Nilambur – Thiruvanthapuram Rajya Rani express will sort out the transport issues of the people of Malappuram district. Now they can travel to the capital city at just 91 rupees. The main credit for this new service goes to the Malayala Manorama news paper. Their regular features in their news paper opened the eyes of the politicians. Then the effort put forward by the Union Minister E A Ahmed made it a reality. A special action council formed by the people also led a major role for this matter. Minister Aryadan Muhammed, Ex Minister Paloli Muhammed Kutty, M P Shanavas and E T Muhammed Basheer also played major roles for the issuance of this new service.
