Atlas Film Critics Award- Mammootty is Best Actor

The Atlas Film Critics Awards of 2010 will be distributed on 20th November. The organisers have informed this in a press meet. Megastar Mammootty will be awarded the Best Actor award for his outstanding performances in the movies 'Pranchiyetan and the Saint' and 'Best Actor'. The performance in 'Gaddama' brought Kavya Madhavan the award for Best Actress. 'Gaddama' directed by Kamal will be given the award for Best Picture. Kamal himself has been adjudged as the Best Director for making Gaddama.
Biju Menon and Samvrutha Sunil have been selected as the Second Best Actor and Actress respectively for various films. Ranjith is the Best Scriptwriter for his film 'Pranchiyetan and the Saint'. Mohan Raghavan, who passed away recently, has been selected as the Best Storywriter for 'TD Dasan 6B'. The same film won master Alexander the award for Best Child Artist.
The total prize money sums up to about 6 Lakhs Rupees. The producer of Best Film will get 1 Lakh Rupees and a citation.
The Television awards also will be distributed along with the film awards. The award for Best Serial will be given to the producer of 'Parijatham' telecasted by Asianet. Best Serial director is Suresh Unnithan. Ravi Vallathol and Rasana will be given the awards for Best Actor and Actress respectively.
The award ceremony will take place at Lulu Convention Center in Thrissur. The Film Awards will be distributed by Central Minister K V Thomas and the Television awards will be given by P C Chacko MP. The Thrissur Mayor I P Paul will publish the souvenir. Many film personalities including Mammootty, Kavya Madhavan, Innocent, Idavela Babu, P V Gangadharan, Joshy Mathew and others will attend the function.
There will be flamboyant cultural programs in the event. Dances led by actress Meera Nandan, Mimics parade by KS Prasad and team and Musical concert led by Shankar Mahadevan, Shreya Ghoshal and M Jayachandran will increase the sheen of the event.
