The BlackBerry Curve 9380 has been launched in India. It is one of the latest smartphones from the Research In Motion. The phone was introduced with other two models BlackBerry Curve 9350 and BlackBerry Bold 9790 .Features and Specifications
The BlackBerry Curve 9380 is the first phone in the Curve series to have a capacitative touch display. The candybar format phone features a 3.2 inch multituch capacitative screen with 360 x 480 pixels resolution. The screen has got light sensor and proximity sensor. The phone measures 109 x 60 x 11.2 mm and weighs only about 98 grams. The phone comes with a powerful single core 806 MHz processor. It has a RAM of 512 MB. The phone is operated on the BlackBerry 7 Operating system. The mobile comes with an optical trackpad.
The Curve 9380 has a 5 Megapixels camera powered with LED Flash and 4x digital zoom. The camera has also other features like Image stabilizer, Face detection,Digital zoom, Geo tagging and Scene modes. It can record videos with resolution 640x480. There is no secondary camera. The phone has a built-in memory of 512 MB that can be further expanded upto 32 GB with microSD or microSDHC cards. The music player supports MP3, M4A, FLAC, OGG, AAC, AMR, WAV, MID and WMA formats.
The online data transfer is facilitated with HSPA (unspecified), UMTS, EDGE and GPRS systems. It has also GPS, A-GPS systems with Navigation. The phone has got Bluetooth 2.1, EDR and Wi-Fi 802.11 b, g, n connectivity. There is an USB port for easy data transfer with Mass storage device, USB charging, NFC, Tethering, Computer synchronisation and OTA synchronisation. There is no Infrared port. There is no FM Radio either. The common Blackberry features like BlackBerry Connect are available in this phone also. The phone has built-in support for Augmented Reality and NFC (Near Field Communication). Accelerometer sensor has been installed in the phone.
The 1230 mAh battery provides a talk time of 5.50 hours and stand-by time of 360 hours. It also gives a music playback time upto 30 hours and video playback time of 5.5 hours.Price and Availability
The BlackBerry Curve 9380 is priced at Rs. 20,990 and will be available in Kerala from December first week. The phone will be available in Black colour only.
