After the blockbuster and much talked about film 'Rathinirvedam', TK Rajeev Kumar is coming with another feminocentric subject. This time he tells us the story of youngsters. The film has already grabbed the attention with its title 'Thalsamayam Oru Penkutty'. The movie is the malayalam adaptation of the Hollywood film 'The Truman Show' that starred Jim Carrey. The film was earlier planned with Mohanlal as the protagonist, but it was later changed to a female oriented subject. The gorgeous Nithya Menon is handling the title role in the film. Unni Mukundan, the new sensation of Malayalam, is playing the male lead. Shweta Menon, the heroine of Rathinirvedam, also plays an important role in the film. Instead of the routine mood of Rajeev Kumar films, the film is planned to be a through out comedy entertainer.Crew

The story of the movie revolves around a reality show. Nithya plays a village girl named Manju unwantingly gets involved in a TV reality show which features her life and works for a month. There are 11 people participating in the show other than Manju. The film is a loose adaptation of the Truman Show concept in which the life of a man whose was featured. But apart from him, everyone was acting in the show. The same storyline is adopted here. Unni Mukundan appears as Surya, the male lead and Shweta Menon plays Sareena.
The other important roles are played by Siddique, Baburaj, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Manian Pillai Raju, Tiny Tom, Baiju, KPAC Lalitha and Devi Chandana.
The screenplay of the film is written by Sunny Joseph and Manual George. The movie is expected to be released on 26th January 2012.
