The theme of the movie was literally fresh and the movie provided an all new experience for the audience. Suresh Gopi in 2011 had Melvilasam to his credit which is one of the most critically acclaimed movie other than Adaminte Makan Abhu in 2011. This film was shown at various film festivals and the film got some rave reviews.

The block buster movie of 2011 which not only was superb in technical aspects but had thrilled the audience with a racy plot. The film was directed by Rajesh Pillai and the screen play was written by the duo of Booby – Sanjay. The film had a series of talented actors in Sreenivasan ,Asif Ali , Kunjacko Boban,Vineeth Sreenivasan, Rahman and Anoop Menon. The movie which was released in the early part of 2011 ws the first block buster hit of 2011 in malayalam film industry.

The Oscar entry for the best foreign film from India. The film directed by Salim Ahmed portraying the struggles of a middle aged couple in kerala won the national award for the best film. Malayalam actor Salim Kumar who enacted the role won the national award for the best actor. Though the film was not received well by the audience at the box office. This is one film which no one can ignore.

Prithviraj had a good year in 2011 with movie like Urumi, Manikyakallu and Indian Rupee Being well received at the box office.of these 3 good movie Indian rupee is my pick. The film dealt with the nuances of a normal youngster in Kerala . The struggles he need to do to survive and the craze to get rich quick.
Prithviraj found himself in the role of a normal young ma with no heroism embedded into the character. The film is a must watch and definitely not one for you to get bored at.

Salt N Pepper
The unconventional commercial movie that rocked the box office in Kerala. The film had e theme that was never tried at the box office .add to this some high power performance from Asif Ali, Lal and Swetha Menon. The film became a surprise hit and the Director Aashiq Abhu was dignified for it. The film is all about the relationship between man and food along with 2 short and sweet love stories that gets entangled. Watch this movie if you have not watched it. Watch it again if you have already watched it. Highly recommended.
