Mullassery Madhavankutty Nemom P.O Malayalam Movie Review

Mullassery Madhavankutty Nemom P.O was one film that came to the theatres banking on the good will actor Anoop Menon had in Malayalam. After the success of films like cocktail and beautiful where he had acted and also penned the script, Anoop Menon was having one of the best reputations in the industry as a pioneer. He had lived up to the expectations too. But the film Mullassery Madhavankutty Nemom P.O disappointed everyone who went to the theatres.

The movie had a story line that was too obvious and which was something we have seen numerous times in Malayalam film industry. The screenplay for the film was comparatively low in quality and the direction was nothing good. The movie in some ways tried to talk about the problems a new Malayalam film producer will have to face like the frequent film strikes and the various pitfalls in film industry for the newcomers.

The story is about Madhavankutty who lives in the Mullassery family in the place called Nemom .he is a government employee who lies happily with his wife child and mother. He lives happily in his home town with hopes of building a house soon in the 35 cents land which he has. That is the back ground of the story plot. The film deals with the same old problems faced by a normal government employee which we have seen in numerous films. From there the movie then movie to Nishant Sagar who was Anoop Menon's main competitor right from the school days. In fact Nishant sagar still harbors' vengeance against Anoop Menon.

The fact that Nishant sagar is now a film producer and that Anoop Menon is just a government employee makes Nishant sagar to attack Anoop Menon verbally. In s a certain circumstance Anoop Menon challenges Nishant that he too can produce a movie with no hassles.

The film in the later part goes onto explain the challenges faced by Anoop Menon in producing a film.The film had some good performances from most of the actors.

But the film lacks mainly in the direction, screenplay department which become the core part of any cinema. Kumar Nandha needs to do some homework before directing his next movie.

Nut the attempt to explain the various pitfalls of date problems troubling Malayalam cinema industry has to be appreciated.
