Meghna Raj is a south Indian film actress. She was born in Banglore, Karnataka as the only daughter of film actors Sundar Raj and Pramila Joshai. Sundar Raj was an actor and he had worked in more than 180 films, mainly in Kannada language. Her mother Pramila Joshai was also a famous Kannada film actress and a film producer. Meghna Raj is currently doing her Bachelors degree in Psychology at Christ College, Bangalore. When she was a child, she started her acting career with her father Sundar Raj. In 2006 she was invited by director K. Balachandar for his film. She accepted his offer and she get a lead role in his film 'Krishnaleelai. Before its release she gets another in a Telugu film 'Bendu Apparo R.M.P', in which she played the role of teacher. She debuted in Kannada film named ' Punda', a remake of the 2007 Tamil film 'Polladhavan'. Meghna Raj made her debut in Tamil film Industry through the film named 'Boopathy Pandian', but the movie was commercial failure.
She entered into the Malayalam film industry through a horror movie named Yakshiyum Njanum, directed by Vinayan in 2010. The film was moderately successful with its glamorously pasteurized song shots of Meghna Raj. Then she worked with two Tamil movies, and two Malayalam movies named Achante Aanmakal and Pachuvum Kovalanum. Except one or two, most of her movies were flops. In 2011 she was called from Malayalam film industry to play a lead role with Anoop Menon and Jayasurya in the Film 'Beautiful', the movie was a box- office hit. Through this movie Megna Raj and Anoop Menon did make an awesome pair on screen. Now in Malayalam film industry they are known as a lucky pair already acted together in three films.
