Pranayam was honored as the best film award from Jaihind TV in the year of 2011. The best actor award went to superstar Mohanlal for the acting in the movie Pranayam. The best actress award was bagged by Padmapriya for her excellent performance in the film Nayika. The best director award is bagged by Rajesh Pillai for the film Traffic. Emerging actor Unni Mukundan bags the best newer face award from the Jaihind TV. Jayasurya was choosen as the second best actor for the performance in Beautiful. Chocolate hero Kunjako Boban was selected as the popular actor of the year 2011. Biju Menon gets the best character artist award for the performance in various films while Mythili gets best character artist in the female category. The best screenplay award went to the script of film Salt N Pepper and credit goes to Shyam Pushkaran and Dileesh Nair. Singer P. Jayachandran get honoured getting the Best singer award for his mind blowing song "Premikkumbol Neeyum Njanum" in the film Salt N Pepper. Manjari gets this award in the female category for her "chimmi chimmi" in the film Urumi.
Veteran writer O. N. V. Kurup gets the best lyrics writer award from Jaiyhind film award 2012 for his songs in the film Veera Puthran and Pranayam. The best music director award goes to M. Jayachandran for the music score of various films. The best star pair award goes to Fahad Fazil and Ramya Nambeeshan pair for the nice performance in the film Chappakurish. Youth icon award for the year of 2011 was bagged by Anoop Menon for the active performance in the year. Suraj Venjaramoodu, the face of comedy in Malayalam in recent years bags the best comedian in the year of 2011.
