Shamili in malayalam as heroine through Azhakiya Ravanan sequal?

How can the malayalee audience forget the cutie baby shamili who had wondered us for years with her incredible performance starting from Malootty and number of movies which followed back to back. She had peeked into the minds of people irrespective of language barriers. She had been an inevitable part of a number of movies which made waves in the box office only with her presence. Shamil's at the age of two steeped in to the movie industry through the movie 'Malootty' which was taken to the next level with the incredible acting which won her the Kerala State film award for the best child artist.

Shamili was flooded with appreciation while she characterized as a mentally challenged child in the movie 'Anjali' directed by Mani Ratnam. She won the national award as the best child artist for depicting an extra ordinary performance in the movie. Being a child artist, Shamili had been a part of various movies in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu. Later in teenage Shamili was seen in Fazil's Harikrishnans along with Mammootty and Mohanlal. Shamili had done her first female lead role in the telugu movie 'Oy' opposite to Siddarth.



A couple of weeks back, news about Shamili's return to malayalam as heroine were floating in media. It only known that she would be playing the lead role in the movie directed by Parthasarathy. Reliable sources confirmed that Shamili will be the heroine of Azhakiya Ravanan sequel.

Do you remember the movie Azhakiya Ravanan? How can a malayalee forget such a movie and directed by Kamal with Mamootty and Bhanu Priya in the lead. Shakar Das a rich man, Novelist Ambujakshan and Karayogam President TPV Kuruppu were some typical characters in the movie. Azhakiya Ravanan had done well at box office being a family entertainer accompanied by a well set story written by Sreenivasan. The movie ends while Shankar Das return to Mumbai with her dream girl. But was this the real end of the story? How well would it be having a sequel to the movie?


Debutant Parthasarathy is up with a story which revolves around the 'Karayogam President TPV Kuruppu'. It is learned that Innocent who had lively presented the Panchayat President TPV Kuruppu on screen would be playing the same character in the sequel too while an actor who dons as his son will be in the male lead.
The story of the movie develops with TPV Kuruppu and his son as the main characters. Shamili will be the lead lady in the movie.

The process of fixing other characters in the movie is on the move. Even though Mammootty and Sreenivasan are not sure, there are efforts to rope Mammootty to do a special appearance in this movie. So after the sequels of popular movies like Nadodi Kattu, CBI Diary Kurup and Anadabhadram now it's the turn of Azhakiya Ravanan. The plans for the sequel of Anandabhadhram are ongoing.
