Fahad Fazil has emerged as one of the young superstars in Malayalam cinema now. With some scintillating performances, he is the heartthrob of the audience now. His latest films 22 Female Kottayam and Diamond Necklace are superhits as well. Fahad is on full steam in the career.

The recent years have witnessed a flow of new young actors into the Malayalam film industry. They've marked themselves in the cinema being part of some remarkable projects. But one man among them is running on full steam far ahead of others apparently. It's none other than Fahad Fazil. With some scintillating performances, Fahad is proving himself to be the future superstar of Malayalam cinema. He completely destroyed the myths that a superstar or hero needs an athletic body, muscle power or capability of phrasing breathtaking dialogues. Instead, through the sensible and sensitive portrayal of the characters, he has found a unique place in the film industry as well as the hearts of audience. Moreover, it's the strong comeback of him after 8 years that drew attention.

Cinema was not an unfamiliar thing for Fahad, being the son of renowned Malayalam director Fazil. Though he debuted in cinema through the movie Kaiyethum Doorath in 2001 directed by his father himself, the film was an utter flop both critically and commercially. Fahad's acting also got disparaged by the critics. He then re-entered the world of cinema after 8 years, through Mrityunjayam, one of 10 short films in the anthology Kerala Cafe. The film was directed by Uday Ananthan. Fahad astonished everyone with the remarkable change in his style and approach. Then he went on to play supporting roles in films like Pramani, Cocktail Padmashree Bharath Dr. Sarojkumar. His pathbreaking performance came in the movie Chappakurish, the directorial debut of cinematographer Samir Thahir.

The performance in the film brought him much praisal from all the corners and there was no looking back since then. He also starred in the movie 'Akam', which was screened at the 2011 Dubai Film Festival. His latest releases 22 Female Kottayam by Aashiq Abu and Laljose's Diamond Necklace also have been widely appreciated and doing excellent in the box office. Nevertheless, he has been started to be dubbed as Rahul Bose of Malayalam cinema, who in turn is known as the superstar of Indian arthouse cinema. The awareness of his limits and the selection of characters are what differentiate the young actor from his co-stars. He is not concerned about image or heroics. He weighs the pros and cons of every role that comes to him and it seems to be getting paid off. Good oppurtunities are running into him. Friday is the upcoming project of Fahad. Let's hope this young star make Malayalam Cinema proud in the future.
