After proving her skill as a child artiste, Parvana(Monica) rose to the position of being a popular south Indian actress mostly active in tamil movies. Born on 25th August 1985 at Kottayam by the name Rekha Maruthiraj, Parvana had done supporting roles between the years 1990-2000 popularly in tamil films.
Parvana has acted in more than 40 movies as child artist. She returned to malayalam film industry through the movie Theerthadanam directed by B.Kannan. Even though the movie didn't get much applause in the box office, her role as Vinodhini got praise.
Parvana gave life to the character of Hema in the box office hit movie 'Phantom' opposite to Nishand Sagar. Later she was seen in the movie Kanninum Kannadikkum donning the role of Abhrami.
