Profile Malayalam Movie – Sana Khan as Silk Smitha
Profile malayalam movie will feature actress Sana Khan doning the role of Silk Smitha. The movie will be an independent version of ‘The Dirty Picture’ to be directed by Anil which will be scripted by Antony Eastman. Sana Khan, a model turned actress is expected to make the dream come true for those who wished to see the real life of Silk Smitha in malayalam.
Finally it is now sure that Sana Khan will give life to the central character in Profile, an upcoming malayalam movie which would be an independent version of 'The Dirty Picture'. Profile will focus on the life of Silk Smitha, a yesteryear actress who had been a part of south Indian movies. The script of the movie will be handled by Antony Eastman who introduced Silk Smitha in malayalam through the movie 'Enayae Theadi'. 'The Dirty Picture' a 18 crore movie which released simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu was a commercial blockbuster collecting 117 crores overall. The movie revolved around the pain, aspiration, dream, struggle, and the shadows which lay behind an actress who rose up to stardom and later had fallen down.
After the grand success of the movie, there was news that a lineup of movies were under pre production. Vidya Balan, who gave life to the main character in 'The Dirty Picture' (TDP), had scaled new heights. But none of the heroines were ready to undertake the role even though Richa Gangopadhay and Charmee were among the favourites to don the role in malayalam. Now it's confirmed that Silambattam fame Sana Khan will play the role of Smitha in the malayalam movie Profile.
Director Anil Babu who had worked with Smitha in the movie Sakshal Sreeman Chathunni does remember her performance in the song 'Puzhayorathu Poonthoni' which is still in the minds of millions. It would be Anil – Antony Eastman – Kaloor Dennis who would be weaving the movie before the malayali audience.
Sana Khan, a half malayali whose father hails from Kannur had appeared in more than 30 ad films which include pairing with Akshay Kumar and Sharukh Khan. She also had made her presence as item dancer in 'E', 'Bombay to Goa' and'Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal'. For her character role as Janu in the movie Silambattam Sana won the ITFA best new actress award. She also had appeared in Thambikku Indha Ooru, Kalyanram Kathi, Gaganam, Payanam, Kool...Sakkath Hot Maga, Aayiram Vilakku and Mr. Nookayya.
The movie Profile is expected to give a real break for Sana. Actors like Nishan, Baburaj, Suresh Krishna and Rajasri Nair along with directors Viji Thampy and Thampi Kannanthanam will feature in the movie. P J Thomas will be producing the movie under the banner nice movies.
