Molly Aunty Rocks malayalam movie - ‘Egos clash, she rocks’

Young effervescent director Ranjith Sankar will begin the works for the upcoming malayalam movie 'Molly Aunty Rocks' with Prithviraj and Revathy in the lead. 'Mayflower' which was announced earlier will get little bit oxygen as the Ranjith decided to postpone it later to the end of this year giving more preference to a fresh theme with the tagline 'Egos Clash, She Rocks'. 'Molly Aunty Rocks' will be produced under Dreams 'n Beyond while the movie will be released by August Cinema. The first look posters of the movie which was released on 3rd June really 'rocked' from the first sight itself. 'Molly Aunty Rocks' will be 100% full filled movie. It would be Ranjith's 4th movie after Passenger, Arjunan Sakshi and Cocktail.



Revethi will don the title character Molly Aunty a having a keep going personality who works as a bank employee while holds a green card. Prithviraj plays the role of Pranav, an IRS officer. The natural exchange of blows between Molly Aunty and Pranav blended with humour at its best keeps the theme fresh and flow. The kicks and smashes will enter new phase with the arrival of Lalu Alex, Sharath, Mamookkoya, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Sunil Sukhada, KPAC Lalitha Lakshmi Priya and Krishnakumar the line of artists who will give life to other characters.

After the huge success of 'Passenger' Ranjith became one of the most wanted film maker in malayalam. He can be credited as the movie maker who had drawn a new phase for new comers. This gave energy for many young film makers to step in to the field with courage. But Ranjith failed to impress the audience with Arjun Sakshi and Cocktail. Even though Arjunan Sakshi got well reception while on small screen it was a blown away at theatres as the same condition was felt with Cocktail too. Generation next movies like 'Salt N Pepper', 'Ee Adutha Kalathu', '22 Female Kottayam' and 'Diamond Necklace' are examples of movies which were adaptable to the changing tastes of the movie lovers and seen success at the box office. There is a huge line up of movies behind the screen on making which are aimed at satisfying the need of movie fans. 'Molly Aunty Rocks' (MAR) also is expected to be in the line of movie with a fresh theme.

Ranjith himself has written the screen play and dialogues. The shooting of the movie will be held at various locations at Palakkad and Thiruvalla. Anand Madhusoodhanan has scored the music for 3 tracks Molly Anthem, Molly Cool and Molly Locked. The shooting of the movie will start in this June while it is expected to reach theatres in August.
