NSS College of engineering started in the year 1960. This college is affiliated to Calicut University and Accreditation to AICTE. The students in this college are trained to become very intelligent and the staffs here are highly educated. The college bringing all the students to be the best in they are studying. This college will come under the society of "Nair Service Society". This society has running so many colleges and hospitals. This college committee member frequently conducts the meeting to bring the college to next level and they will planed and execute accordingly. Infrastructure facilities
This college has good infrastructure. Mainly we have to focus on the library, computer labs, and transportation and for the hostel students we need to see whether the hostel is good enough. In all those aspects this college is satisfying the needs of the students. More than that there is a college playground, auditorium adding the advantage to choosing this college. Another main thing we need to see is the placement assistance. In placement wise also this college is very good. There is separate Placement Block is there for the students to get trained for their campus interview.Library facilities
Totally this college has 6 libraries, i.e., each department (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science) have their own library. This library consists of around 65000 books and journals. There is a main library called as central library, which is started in the year 1965. One of the special features in this college library is all the things in this library are computerized, and separate browsing center to learn eBooks. This library will function on all working days from Morning 10Am to Evening 5 PM. Computer Lab facilities
Like library, each and every department has their own computer lab facility. All the systems are in latest configurations. All the systems are installed with Windows Operating system and UNIX Operating system i.e., all the system will have dual OS. Internet facilities are also available in this computer lab with speed of 2 Mbps. This computer lab will operate from Monday to Saturday from Morning 10 AM to Evening 5 PM. This lab also has printers and scanners, so the students can use it for taking printouts. There is average of 35 systems allocated to each department. Hostel facilities
This college has totally 4 hostels, three for Men and one for women. All the hostels are fully furnished. Another main thing in this hostel is to avoid ragging there is separate hostel for first year students. The hostel environment is very good to live and to study. All the hostels have warden who will responsible for all the good and bad things happening inside the hostel. If we need to know about the college bus facility mean, this college has two buses for transportation for both the students and staff for pick up and drop. This bus will cover all the areas in palakkad and it also covers some nearby towns. Bus will function on all the working days and additionally the bus will operate for Tours, Industrial visits etc. There is separate committee is there to monitor the transportation. Placement details
