Brighty Balachandran known as Mythili in film industry was born at Konni in Pathanamthitta. After getting primary learning from St. Mary's English Medium School Eliyaracakal, Mythili completed her high school education from Mount Bethany English Higher Secondary School, Mylapra. She had done her higher secondary education from Government Higher Secondary School, Konni.
Mythili who was ambitious to build her career, had completed training to become an air hostess. Later her passion towards acting landed at being part of various commercials and advertisements which proved to be a stepping stone in her film career. Mythili's entry into the film industry was supported by her father, mother, grandmother and brother Bipin. Spotted by director Ranjith spotted, Mythili got casted in his crime thriller Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha as Manikyam and was raved with critical reviews and positive responses from the audience.
Even though she had been a part of various projects like Kerala Café, Chattambinadu, Nallavan,Shikkar and Kanakompathu, her performance in Salt N Pepper gave much popularity while the movie was recorded as a blockbuster of 2010. Mythili was nominated for Filmfare award for the best supporting actress in malayalam.
Riding high on her heels, Mythil became a part of Njanum Ente Familiyum, Ee Adutha Kalathu, Mayamohini and Naughty Professor. But not to surprise, the actress had done an item dance in Aneesh Upasan's Matinee which had clocked more than 4 lakhs views in You Tube while the number is still counting on.
