This Art Gallery and the Museum are dedicated to one of the post independent India's architects Dr V K Krishna Menon. This museum was established in 1975 and is located on the east hill of Kozhikode.
About Sri V K Krishna Menon Sri V K Krishna Menon was the first High Commissioner to London and a defence minister under the Prime ministership of Jawaharlal Nehru.
H2>In the V K Krishna menon Museum V K Krishna menon's personal belongings as well as the souvenirs he had received in his days are exhibited there along with the paintings of Raja Ravi Varma and Raja Raja Varma. The most significant sections of the Gallery and the Museum is devoted to the evolution andd the growth of the Indian Republic during the post independent times.
In the Art Gallery of the Museum The Art Gallery also contains the arts and crafts of Kerala and that too mostly of the paintings and carvings in wood and ivory.

How to Reach Kozhikode/ Calicut The city has an International airport named Karipur International airport. The airport is located at about 26 kilometers from the Kozhikode Railway station.
The closest railway station to the airport is Feroke. Calicut airport and the railway station are well connected with the rest of India.
You can also travel via road transport from the rest of Kerala and Karnataka state.
