Gitanjali: Mohanlal- Priyadarshan upcoming malayalam movie titled
Gitanjali malayalam movie directed by Priyadarshan will have Mohanlal in lead. Tentatively titled as Gitanjali, the shooting is expected to start in July. As the hit film maker and super star had worked together in more than 40 movies, the family audience has much enjoyed their rib-tickling comedy entertainers. After the success of Arabiyum Ottakavum P.Madhavan Nairum aks Oru Marubhoomi Katha, Priyadarshan and Mohanlal is back to amuse the viewers.
Movie enthusiasts do keep high expectations while Priyadarshan and Mohanlal team up for a new project. As Priyadarshan – Mohanlal duo had worked in more than 40 projects, the audience are much aware about the sense of humour they enjoy from each of their movies.
After their last outing in malayalam with rib-tickling comedy entertainer Arabiyum Ottakavum P.Madhavan Nairum aks Oru Marubhoomi Katha, the lucky pair is back with a fresh theme. Tentatively titled as 'Gitanjali', this movie will have Mohanlal in lead along with veteran actor Madhu, Innocent and Ganesh Kumar giving life to other prominent characters in the movie.
It is known that Mohanlal will reprise the role of Dr. Sunny, a lead character in the movie 'Manichithrathazhu'. Scripted by Priyadarshan and Dennis Joesph, the complete cast will be announced soon while the movie starts rolling from 5th July in Trivandrum. Close to 90% of this movie will be canned in Trivandrum and later at Dubai and New Delhi.
According to inner sources, the lead actress would be a debutant. The team has shortlisted few faces from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi film industries and the full cast would be finalised in two weeks time. 'Geetanjali' also marks the return of veteran actor onto silver screen after a short gap.
As Priyadarshan and Mohanlal have delivered movies which kept the viewers laughing, this movie too carries a high voltage theme gearing up to tickle the funny bones. With Onam season nearing, the question is whether the movie could be released in September or not.
Already there are a long line of movies currently under post production and nearing theatres. Some of the highly awaited projects are Mohanlal's 'Memory Card', Kunjanathante Kada and KadalKadannoru Mathukutty featuring Mammotty in lead and Suresh Gopi's 'Salaam Kashmir'.
Few highly anticipated movies with young cast in lead are Dulquer Salmaan's ABCD, Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, Hangover, Vineeth Sreenivasan's Thira, Dileep's untitled Onam release etc. Can Priyadarshan and Mohanlal recreate their magic again on silver screen? Let's wait and watch.
