The college is recognized by 'All India Council for Technical Education' (AICTE) and has the affiliation of University of Calicut. The campus which sprawled over a 10 acres of land with a built up area of 4400 sq. m is located at Valanchery near the Kuttipuram railway station in Malappuram district. Within a limited period college uplift its name in the level of other leading institutions in the state. <B>Dr S I Manjur Basha</B>, an expert in electronics is the present principle of this splendorous institution. Each department of this college is blessed with a set of highly qualified and dedicated faculties which is the real asset of this institution. This trust conducts many scholarship, awards and other earning opportunities for students to motivate their study. Cochin College of Engineering and Technology provide a total of 120 seats for this branch with a team of highly qualified and experienced faculties. Training facilities for the designing of software's such as CAM, CIM, CAD are also provided for mechanical engineering students. <U><B>Electrical and Electronics - 120 seats: </B></U>This is one of the still expanding field of engineering which mainly deals with the manufacturing and functioning of electrical and electronic equipments. Cochin College of Engineering and Technology provide a total of 120 seats for this branch with state-of-art lab facilities. This field has now wide job opportunities in and outside the country. <U><B>Electronics and communications: </B></U>This is a recently emerged field of engineering which mainly deals with biomedical signal processing, image processing and computer vision communication etc. The college provide a total of 60 seats for this branch with well furnished laboratories set with modern equipments. A set of committed faculties who are always helpful for the needs of each and every student is the real asset of this branch. <U><B>Computer science and Engineering - 120 seats : </B></U>This is also a recently emerged field of engineering which now reach at the top all other fields of engineering with its technologies and applications and holds a great future. The college provide as total 120 seats for this branch with modern laboratories set with high end system coupled with high speed internet. <H3>Top class facilities</H3><B>Hostel: </B>Cochin College of Engineering and Technology provide seperate hostel facilities for boys and girls under the maintains of caring wardens. All the hostel rooms are set with modern facilities and amenities for the well being of the students. Delicious vegetarian and non vegetarian messes are provide in the hostel itself. Presently college own more than 4 college buses that travel up and down to collect the students from different parts and to unite them in time in the college.
