Ramakkalmedu is a hill station in Idukki district.This is a newly found tourist spot. It is located about 15 km from Nedumkandom on the Munnar-Thekkady Road. Because of abundant in wind in Ramakkalmedu a wind energy farm is installed. Currently producing 2.5 MW.Future plans are there to increase it 12.5 MW.
Ramakkalmedu is the border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. This is located closest to tourist attractions such as Periyar Tiger Forest of Tekkady, Munnar hill station, Kuttikanam and Parunthumpara.
