Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple,Thiruvanathapuram

Padmanabhaswamy temple is located at East fort ,Thiruvanathapuram
which is right in the middle of the city. This an oldest temple in Kerala.
The main deity, Padmanabhaswamy, is a form of Vishnu in
Anananthasayanam posture - in eternal sleep of yognidra.
The city name is derived from the temples name.
Sree Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple, the temple
dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is an awe-inspiring structure
that has a The main tower is 100 feet and built in Dravidian style.

The temple is also known for the Mural paintings and stone carvings.

It was build t 1600 AD and renovated in 1733 AD by the then ruler
of Travancore, Raja Marthanda Varma. The Travancore Kings were known as Padmanabhadasa.

Navarathri Festival of musical concerts at the
Navarathri Mandapam is getting done on every
October November month.
