Padmanabhaswamy temple is located at East fort ,Thiruvanathapuram

The main deity, Padmanabhaswamy, is a form of Vishnu in
Anananthasayanam posture - in eternal sleep of yognidra.
The city name is derived from the temples name.
Sree Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple, the temple
dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is an awe-inspiring structure
that has a The main tower is 100 feet and built in Dravidian style.
The temple is also known for the Mural paintings and stone carvings.
It was build t 1600 AD and renovated in 1733 AD by the then ruler
of Travancore, Raja Marthanda Varma. The Travancore Kings were known as Padmanabhadasa.
