Calicut is the main city in North Kerala .Calicut is well connected by road, rail and air to other manjor places in India and offers flights to /from most of the foreign countries .It helps to promote inbound tourism inthis region .
Calicut is a place where Vas co de gama the Portugese sailor landed first .The beach known as Kappad is 18 km fare from the city .Kappad beach resort , located in this beach offers luxury stay and Ayurvedic relaxation packages .

In Calicut city main attractions are SM street ( main shopping area) , beach , temples Krishna menon museum,Mananchira square (Lake and a park) in the middle of the city . There are Hindu and jain temples, mosques and churches around the city .

Beypore is a small village 8 Km away from city .It is the main fishing area and harbour is situated in this area.There is a man made bride which takes you 3-4kms inthe sea.
The famous Uru ( Wooden boats ) are made here .You can have allok at the Big uru making .

There is a place called Peruvannamuzhi ( 70 km from Calicut where a the dam is situated .There is park also.

Kakkayam is another attraction near Calicut .It is around 60 km away from city .It is a beautiful land of rivers.ghats and you can have a look at the dam and villages
