Big B joins in his first regional film. The film is a Malayalam film starring Mohanlal.

At last the golden moment in Malayalam film happened, the Bollywood megastar made his debut in Mollywood. And most of all, this his first venture in a regional language. Yes, Amitabh Bachan joined the set of Superstar Mohanlal's upcoming movie 'Kandahar'. Apart from Mohanlal and Bachan the film also features stars like Neil Nitin Mukesh, Ganesh Venkatraman, Sumalatha etc.
The movie is being directed by the Major Ravi, he was behind the other two soldier stories of Major Mahadevan. This film is also coming as a sequence to the previous two. Mohanlal is playing as the role of Mahadevan.
The role of Aitabh is as the father of a person in the kidnapped aeroplane. The character is from North India and it won't be any problem to him. According to Bachan,"My admiration for Mohanlal could never have made me refuse this offer and so I do it for him. Mohanlal has been and still is one of the most incredible talents from Kerala and the Malayalam film industry. I have admired him and his work through many years of my existence in this profession. He has a unique body and face language. You get the feeling that he is doing nothing, yet it results in the most amazing results - natural, without effort and effective. Just such a joy to watch him".He wrote it in his blog.
And the most surprising thing is that the most demanded actor in bollywood is not ready to accept anything from the film. It's his admiration towards Mohanlal that took him to the Malayalam film.
He have only five days shooting works in 'Kandahar' and feels very pleasure to complete the first take without any retake. The actor also invited Mohanlal to social network twitter.
