About Harivarasanam / Hariharasuthashatakam, sung at the Sabarimala temple
Harivarasanam is also known as Hariharasuthashtakam was composed by Kambamgudi Kulathur Iyer. Swami Vimochanananda sang at the Sabarimala temple for the first time. At present Sabarimala Swamy Ayyappan Sannidhanam plays the version sung by the great playback singer K J Yesudas every night after the final pooja before closing the temple for the night. It is said to be the favourite lullaby for the God Ayyappan.
Even though there are many versions sung by different singers, the song sung by the Great Palyback singer, K J Yesudas gets played there everyday.
