The KPSC exam is for those candidates aspiring to get a job in a State Govt. organisation, a Govt. authority office, a Govt. No, just because you pass a KPSC exam does not guarantee that you will get a job. The recruitment of candidates is generally made on the basis of his/her rank which is secured in the ranked list prepared on the basis of the marks obtained during the exams. You will then also have to appear for an interview for the requisite job. Some KPSC recruitments are also done through a group discussion in addition to the interview after successfully passing the KPSC exam. For certain recruitment, such as for posts of firemen, there is likely to be a physical fitness test involving athletic races and/or other types of tests to check fitness levels of the candidate.
It should be noted that sometimes there is a huge number of applications for Kerala Govt. jobs. In such cases, the KPSC may decide to reduce the number of candidates who will be called for a personal interview for the job & decide solely on the basis of the exam marks & qualifications or some other basis.
