What is the Kerala PSC Exam Application Form Format?

The KPSC exam application form is a single sheet of paper which is printed on both sides – this makes it easier for processing on a computer with the Optical Mark Reader (OMR).

The 2 sides are:
1. Side A: This is what is called the OMR Data sheet. An important feature on this side is the 8 digit barcode. Every application form has a different barcode, with no two application forms having the same barcodes.
Important Tip: make note of this 8 digit barcode as you will need to mention it whenever you need to make any future queries about your form.

Another feature on Side A are the 'Bubbles' (oval-shaped bubbles) and 'Boxes' (rectangular-shaped boxes). These bubbles and rectangles are where you will need to fill in important date.
Note: The Bubbles should be darkened with a HB pencil only as these are then scanned; the data to be filled in the Rectangles should be entered with a blue or black ball-point pen only.

Important Tip: Before filling in the form, it is advisable to see the sample OMR sheet provided in the Kerala PSC exam information brochure to understand how to darken the bubbles correctly and how to fill in the form properly.

2. Side B: This is the usual type as seen on any application form.

Important Tip: Before filling in the form, it is advisable to see the sample OMR sheet provided in the information brochure to understand how to darken the bubbles correctly and how to fill in the form properly.
