Step to move your mobile number to Airtel
-The first and most important step is to get the Unique Porting Code (UPC). You can just sent an SMS in the prescribed format" PORT space 10 digit mobile number" to 1900 to get the code.
- After all you sent that SMS, you will a 8 character alpha-numerical UPC code
- Then you have to be prepared with your Address proof, Passport Size photo and the copy of your last phone bill (applicable only for post paid users)
- After that, you have to visit your nearest Airtel Customer Care and have to submit the mandatory documents and have to fill the Airtel application form regarding portability.

- All the operators in any circle can have acces to MNP
- It is very much important for you to et the UPC Code, The format to get this code is discussed above.
- The Unique Porting Code (UPC) is only valid for one month. So clear your porting before that.
- You need to pay Rs. 19 to port to Airtel.
- There are chances for the rejection for the rejection of UPC from the existing operators, if you are not meeting their policies. So please check whether every thing is alright.
- In this process you have to replace with a new SIM, but the number will be the older one itself.
